Sarvagna Skill Development Center

Two centers started functioning in April 2017 in Bengaluru with focus on providing additional skills to women. Aim of taking up this activity is to empower women for economic independence. There is no cost involved for the women to get trained in this skill center.

One center is based in Vinobha Nagar, Kadugondanahalli and another at Basavalingappa Bhavan, HBR Layout. Here women are given with basic computer training, Tailoring, Embroider and other Art and Crafts making. Women are also trained to make Candle, Chocolates, Soap, Shampoos, Paper bags, Washing Power and Phenol. Plan is to help the ladies with marketing and sales once they start their own production.

Once the women are trained they will be given with the opportunity to utilize the space in the skill center to prepare what they have learnt if the space in their house is not conducive. The purpose is not just to train women but to link with the market so that they generate revenue for the family.
